The C 414 B-ULS has a well-deserved reputation for flawless performance and unbelievable flexibility for the most demanding recording and serious concert sound applications. The crisp, full-bodied, naturally open character of the C 414 B-ULS sound makes it a preferred choice of many engineers for critical recording or reinforcement of vocals, piano, percussion and other instruments with detailed overtones and transients. The dual 1-inch gold-sputtered diaphragms coupled with premium electronics delivers exceptionally flat on-axis response and uniform off-axis transitions. Four selectable polar patterns precisely tailor desired pickup and two bass filter settings suppress unwanted low-frequency components. The C 414 B-ULS has extremely low noise and very high overload points for a remarkably wide 126 dB of dynamic range, well in excess of digital media capabilities. The switchable 10 dB or 20 dB internal preattenuation pads allow use on instruments producing over 150 dB SPL with THD held to less than 0.5%.
